Clinical psychology services focused on families navigating separation, parenting disputes, and complex family transitions.

Bo works at the intersection of family law and therapeutic practice, providing reportable family therapy, parenting support, the preparation of expert reports for family law matters, and consultation for families and legal professionals.

About Bo

Bo is a Melbourne-based clinical psychologist who works with children, adolescents, adults, and families, with a particular interest in supporting families during periods of conflict, separation, and transition.

He has experience working across a range of public and private settings, including child and adolescent mental health services and hospital-based programs. His clinical work draws on attachment-based, systemic, and other evidence-informed psychological approaches, with a focus on understanding difficulties within their broader relational and developmental context.

Bo has a longstanding interest in working with families during periods of conflict and transition. His work often involves helping parents better understand family dynamics, supporting children’s emotional wellbeing, and assisting families to move toward more stable and workable parenting arrangements.

Before training as a psychologist, Bo worked as a solicitor and also spent time teaching within Victoria’s secondary education system. These experiences provide him with a helpful perspective when working with families involved in the legal system and inform his approach to collaborating with solicitors and other professionals where psychological input may assist families and the practitioners supporting them. His time as a teacher also provided valuable insight into the secondary school environment and the broader education system in which many young people are navigating developmental, social, and family challenges.

Bo’s training and experience

Bo is a Clinical Psychologist registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).

He completed a Master of Clinical Psychology, undertaking clinical training across a range of public and private settings working with children, adolescents, adults, and families.

Bo has worked within hospital and community mental health services, including child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS) and hospital-based programs supporting young people and their families. Through this work he has developed experience in the assessment and treatment of a broad range of emotional, behavioural, and relational difficulties.

In his current practice, Bo works with children, parents, and families, and prepares psychological reports arising from therapeutic and assessment work, including reports prepared in the context of family law matters.

Bo’s approach

Bo’s clinical approach is informed by attachment-based and systemic perspectives, with an emphasis on understanding individuals within the broader relational, developmental and social contexts in which difficulties arise.

In his work with children and families, he is particularly attentive to the ways family conflict, separation and major transitions can affect children’s emotional wellbeing and relationships. His work often involves helping parents better understand their child’s experience and supporting families to move toward more stable and workable parenting arrangements.

In his therapeutic work, Bo aims to provide a thoughtful and balanced space in which family members can reflect on patterns within their relationships and consider how change may be possible. In some matters, he may also act in a more independent or forensic role, including the preparation of expert reports.
